PARENTS
To maintain our high standards, we depend on
parents. Three Little Ships cannot
solely adopt the responsibility for the education
of the children, but the school should be, in
dialogue with the parents, a partner in this process.
This can succeed only if the proper parental
involvement is in effect in the school,
from intake to the last day of school.
There are several ways parents can gather information
about Three Little Ships and their
child's education:
- School Guide
At the start of the school year, Three Little
Ships provides parents with a School Guide.
This booklet provides answers to many questions
and is a handy referencebook throughout the
school year.
- Conferences
Parents may always make an appointment with
the teacher to discuss issues pertaining to
the development of their child. In addition,
teachers may be consulted briefly before or
after school, but not during lesson times.
- Parents Evenings
Twice a year Three Little Ships
organises a meeting to inform parents about
the educational programme.
If there is something that bothers them, parents
should not hesitate to discuss this with the school
staff. Most of the times a solution can be easily
reached.
We have an official complaints
policy to guarantee a clear and fair way
of dealing with complaints. We shall put things
right as quickly as possible. The complaint procedure
is available at school.
We also want to hear from parents when there
are no complaints. If they would like to play
a more active role,
the staff will happily inform the parents what
opportunities are available to help in the pre-school
community.
Parents always have the right to advise on all
school issues. There is a parent
committee and we will inform the parents
about all new policies and discuss possible changes. |
